Parent Participation
Each family is expected to perform 30 hours of
service for the North Rome Christian School. In the
event that this is not accomplished within the
school year, a donation of $300.00 is required or
$10.00 per hour for each hour not fulfilled. These
jobs can be accomplished by working with students
during the day, participating in weekend work bees
and/or special activities such as the Annual School
Auction.
Transportation
Questions
Transportation is provided by the Athens, Northeast,
Towanda, Sayre and Wyalusing School systems. Parents
should request transportation at the time of
registration. North Rome Christian School does not
provide transportation but will assist parents. If
public school transportation is not requested, the
parent is responsible for transporting their child
to and from the North Rome Christian School.
All students who ride the bus will be sent home on
their bus to their regular bus stops unless parents
notify the school in advance.
If for any reason a change is to be made, parents
must send a note of explanation in the morning.
Parents are expected to notify the school if any
other person is picking up their child.
Emergency Delays and Closings
Winter weather in this part of the country is
inevitable. The decision to cancel school or call
for a late start will be made before 6:30 am and
will often follow the same delays and closing as
Athens, Northeast, Towanda and Wyalusing school
districts. Radio and television announcements will
be given. Tune in to WPEL, WTTC, WHGL, WATS, WAVR,
WCII and TV 22.
